A Monday Lookback Week 7- Blogmas Day 8.

Last week was a tad windy and stormy. The north was  battered with floods and really powerful wind.

Even central London was windy. Which was obviously a great day to put the Trafalgar Square Christmas tree up!

It’s still a tad wonky today.

I do love the fact that Trafalgar Square has a built in tree stand.

On Tuesday Adele tickets went on presale. Being the lovely daughter that I am I offered to get some for my Dad for Christmas. I get to go too so it’s a win/win situation.  Safe to say I did not succeed in getting tickets. Going by twitter none of her fans did. But looking at resale sites it seems that ALL the touts got tickets and were putting them up for re-sale for double and triple their worth. It makes me so mad that people do this AND get away with it.

On Tuesday I also made the decision that I was going to attempt to take part in Blogmas this year. For those who don’t know it basically means that I will be posting a blog every day up until Christmas day.

This will hopefully help me get into the swing of posting regularly again.

One of the posts was about how the book Little Women, and how I tend to read it at Christmas.

Friday consisted of 5.45am starts, lots of coffee and me failing to get Adele tickets again.
On top of ticket stress I started my Christmas shopping. Even though it was a Friday lunch time it was extremely busy. Over the upcoming weeks I am going to have to find very specific times of day to hit the shops and hope for the best.

I wish Charing Cross was always this empty at 9am during the week. Sadly this is just weekends, but the quietness does knock 20 minutes of my commute. Which creates more time for coffee.

After a 10 hour shift I wandered over to Kensington to meet up with these folks for a drink or two. Any more and I would have fallen asleep where I was standing.

I met them at The Churchill Arms and we caught up and had a rant or two all whilst eating a mountain of delicious Thai.

As you may have seen in yesterday’s Blogmas post, we decorated the house and I GOT TICKETS TO ADELE!!

That combined with a roast dinner and a good movie made for a lovely end to the week!

All in all I only missed one Blogmas post and managed to keep the posts all festive. I am not sure I am going to be able to do that this week, but hopefully I will not miss a day!

Love Amanda xx

Snow Update– Nope. Nada. Zilch.
