It’s that most wonderful time of the year! No – not Christmas… AUTUMN!
Jumpers and scarves, crunchy leaves and that bonfire smell that seems to linger in the evening.
A bonus is also the London Underground not being a hot sweaty mess anymore.
Having just returned from the Florida Keys I am now delighting in packing away all my summer clothes and getting ready for the winter. I already have many well-loved jumpers that I run back to every autumn. I am not the kind of girl who cares that their clothes are getting a bit old and have been in many a photo.
That said, it is a good excuse to buy a few new ones!
Here are a few that have caught my attention in browsing since I have been back. Now two of them are not going to happen, but it’s nice knowing what I like and what’s in this autumn so I can find cheaper versions of them elsewhere.
This one is from Celtic and Co, and looks slouchy and warm. At £90, it’s a little pricey for a jumper so I most likely will not buy it, but I will keep an eye on the sales.
As you will pick up from the next few items, my “style” is all about comfort!
This jumper is from a company called Orvis, which I walk past daily, but have only recently gone in. This was a bad idea, as its clothes are at the very top end of my budget, this one coming in at £99.
It also makes me want to buy all their boots, dog bowls and leashes. And take up fly fishing. ( Makes me a tad homesick for Norfolk-Land)
The next three are from the TK Maxx website and are more reasonably priced. So reasonably priced that you might see them on my Instagram in the near future!
The first is by Amaryllis, a blackberry knit cowl neck jumper and is £19.99.
The second is a navy button up pull over by Lazy Jacks, at £24.99
The final is a colour block jumper by Max Studios
This Barbour Bower Belted Wax Jacket is something that is VERY pricey, but I have been wanting one for quite some time now. I did the silly thing of trying it on and therefore, have fallen even more in love with its fleece lined, waterproof comfy-ness.
I am getting in some overtime over the next few weeks so might very well be making this purchase in the very near future. The last time I bought a coat was about three years ago and I still wear it now, so it’s definitely time for a change.
If I can pluck up the courage to take the plunge!
What are you thinkng about splurging on this Autumn/Winter?
P.S – why am I doing a fashion post? People will find out that I am not fashionable. I’m all about comfort and practicality me! Basically warm and dry people, warm and dry!
