I was nominated by the lovely Kelsey at Leather and Lipstick Blog for my first Liebster Award. I am sure you all know about these awards, and I am grateful for my nomination, especially as I am working so hard to get this thing up and running! You should all head over to Kelsey’s blog and say hello!
So without further ado here are my answers to the questions she set me.
1 – Would you rather go without mascara or filling in your brows?
I am a mascara lover through and through. I don’t really do anything to my brows apart from shape them. I am very fair skinned and my brows are very light too, so I feel rather self consious when they are dark. That is not to say it dark brows don’t suit blonds, its more I am way to chicken to try.
2 – Favourite nail polish colour?
OPI My Private Jet.
Way back when I started watching Youtube videos on of the Fowler sisters mentioned it, and I ran off to Selfridge’s with my student loan and purchased my first ever OPI polish.Whilst many more have followed this one has remained my favourite.
3 – Skirts or Pants?
Pants! I think its because when you wear skirts you have to think about things more, keep your legs closed, look out for gusts of wind, especially on the tube! And trousers are just warmer in general.
4 – Do you enjoy doing your hair or make-up more?
I enjoy doing my make-up more. Hair is a necessity for me, if I leave it alone it goes crazy. But putting on a full face of make-up normally means I am doing something exciting or special. (On a day to day basis I normally only wear mascara and shadow)
5 – Do your dye your hair?
Nope. Not any more. I used to dye my hair platinum blonde, which I loved, but was a lot of work to maintain. I am naturally blonde, and I’ve been a brunette, but I am back to my natural blonde at the moment. In fact, as I spent most of this summer working in an outdoor theatre I’ve got some pretty cool natural highlights at the moment!
Eventually when I have the money to maintain it I’d love to have my hair the colour of Fleur of Fleur de Force.
6 – What is your least favourite part of blogging?
My actual site design. I’m rubbish at coding and all that malarkey, so my site isn’t as attractive as I would like it to be. But I am persevering and learning.
7 – Favourite Foundation?
Estee Lauder Double Wear Light. At the moment I don’t match the shade I own due to my summer outdoors, so I am using The Bodyshops All In One BB Cream – which adapts itself to your skin shade. But the DWL has been my favourite since my first year at uni. It just doesn’t budge. At all. So I can wear it throughout the day without a worry.
8 – Did you go to college/plan on going?
Yep. Done and done. I did a BA Hons in Arts Management in London and graduated in 2012. Which leads on to….
9 – What’s your dream job?
Haven’t the foggiest!
That’s why I chose my course at university, it covered a range of topics such as “finance in the arts” to “arts in educational settings”. But then it also covered “event management”, which is where I could really see myself. Managing productions and events, being in charge and seeing it all come together!
It’ll be in the creative industry, whether that be theatre, art, media or writing. I kind of flit between them all and love it all the same. I like having the variation and all the different opportunities that are available to me.
10 – Sheer or Lace?
Lace. Much more romantic and classic.
11 – Do you have any piercings or tattoos?
Nope. Maybe one day I will pluck up the courage to get a tattoo, I have a zillion ideas for them but I don’t know if I will ever get the guts to actually do it.
So there you have it – the answers to all the questions set me!
I am going to pass this along via twitter to 11 people – as I am at work right now and do not have the time to nominate at the mo!
I hope this helped you to learn more about little old me.
